Hands

Students works this Thusday morning was all about sketching !
Lines, shadow, light, movement, balance and shading were all working together to depict the strength, the position, intensity and detail. 

The artist Jocelyn Maughan and her style was key to today's class.

Omayma's sister "Samia "

This early morning, the smell of freshly baked sable and cookies and... greet me as I enter the workshop. Taste buds are on alert !
Samia known as Sue, in the family, is Omayma's only sister.
Sue runs and owns Sable & Co here in Beirut, Lebanon.
            At The main Branch of  Sable & Co, Sue's smile is the first thing you encounter!  
A little bakery who specializes in sable and all yummi bites for any afternoon Tea !
Not only does Sue make delicious deserts, also has created Tea- Cosies, Cake covers and other items that can decorate your table.
I wont express in words, however I shall express in photos ! check them out !

Today, Omayma is feeling better

After being sick for a week, and Omayma got me sick as well! I might add !
A peak into what Omayma is upto ! Her exhibition ! named " Her curves "!
I will keep you posted on that one ... but for now I have to leave Omayma to work.

In the background , the grand kids have just entered and Granny decided to take them to lunch. 

The wheel is turning, clay is spinning, hands are modeling !
pots, jars, bolls, mugs...
Awaiting dryness, for glazing and burning !
That is the pottery on the wheel class! come and join !

The 13th of September Your first encounter with Omayma


Omayma Ydlibi Soubra
This blog entails all sorts of events and daily encounters with Omayma at The Artwork Shop 

Omayma is an Artist | is a loving wife | is a Mother of three | is a Grand ma of two | owns and teaches at The Artwork shop and lives in Beirut, Lebanon.

As I type this first post, Tina Turner echos in The background of the Artwork Shop, 
Omayma has a morning painting and drawing class going on.
while teaching and making sure perspectives, colors, balance ... are being well portrayed. A chocolate box passes by to all students, that puts a smile on their faces, that puts a smile on my face!

I wont bore you with a long life story of how Omayma reached where she is now in life, however stories will unfold, the past and present will be noted/ posted down in this "bookday"

OH ! something you all must know !
its the only think Omayma talks about lately !
Her only son got married a week a go !
She is extremely happy about that !
Hence - Love is in the air ...
